ETHNOS is a Greek daily newspaper based in Athens with national circulation and readership. In addition to rebranding and updating their digital strategy and footprint, the Sunday issue of the newspaper has been enriched with magazine inserts of different disciplines. Our job was to come up with a concept for a gastronomy magazine that would rival the competition.

about the project

The opportunity to conceptualize, brand, design and coordinate the production of a gastronomy monthly magazine was a very welcome challenge. On the digital side, we have already made our mark on the field of gastronomy with The FNL Guide, but print is very different. We wanted the magazine identity to be fresh, modern and "talk" to a wide range of age groups, especially the young and middle aged foodie target groups that have turned away from print. When we came up with the name "EAT ME" we were aware it would be  quite controversial, but we were confident that it would create a buzz within our target audiences and most importantly that they would take to it, especially because of the magazine's high-end yet informal character. We collaborate closely with a select team of some of the top gastronomy journalists and food critics in Greece and make sure each issue has high quality, unique flare and individuality both in content and design. EAT ME is already considered by many in both the printing and gastronomy industries as one of the best (if not the best) gastronomy magazines in Greece.
